Stuff keeps moving into the household inventory when opening save

Hello, me again.

Finally got my sims working, don't know how. But now whenever I open my save I find that furniture and decorations have been put into the household inventory. Any thoughts on why this might be happening and how to fix?

Also my sim's glasses (base game content not dlc or cc) lens are black?

  • @hshiniko105  An object placed with the MoveObjects cheat may be moved to inventory, or just moved around, for no apparent reason.  One of the causes is that sometimes the effective footprint of an object changes with a patch, but it's not always clear when this happens.  Point is, you'll need to place the objects again; hopefully they'll stay where they're supposed to this time.

Figured it out. It's the Modular furniture, which seems to have been reported already for this issue. The issue happens when the modular desk and bookcase "snap" together, so I had to move the desk a space away from the bookcase and that fixed it.

Ok, but I'm having this problem, too. And my objects were NOT placed with moveobjects. I repeat, they were NOT placed with the move cheat. The items are the writier's career PC, the pink lava lamp, a photo of a relative, and the PC chair.

It's happened to these items twice. Once, when I adjusted the height of the new house they moved into, but I understood the reason for that (adjusting height of a home can make many things go into the inventory or get sold), and the next was after I visited a new family I had made to move them into their home then swapped back to my main household's home. The items were in the inventory again.

It's not just moveobjects related. It's something in the game. I didn't experience this until the recent patch. =\

And again, in closing, moveobjects was NOT used to place these items or build any part of the home. I'm repeating it so much because I just know someone is going to overlook it. Sorry.
