Sudden starvation without reason
Starving sims:
A few of my sims have suddenly starved to death, despite showing no signs of hunger. Two in the same family starved on the same game day! Another perished not long after.
Googling around, it seems a lot of people had this issue a few months ago, but I don't see any comments on it more recently (nor any clear solution). I use some CC, but most of it is just furniture and decoration. I'm not aware I have any mods that affect the speed or frequency of people's needs going up or down, so I'm not sure what suddenly caused this.
(For reference, I hadn't played The Sims for months, came back recently, played for two weeks, then people started starving, so I stopped playing again. Playing on a Mac, via Origin)

Please move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Once you've done that, test the game.
If it works normally, check for updates to your mods/CC. You can then add them back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.
