- crinrict4 years agoHero+@Hatyyxx I merged your post with an existing thread on this.
Could you please try a game repair and also remove any mods/cc you might have and if you still see issues, please see post above from Nick. I deleted my mods and the problem went away.

@Hatyyxx OK. thanks for letting us know.
Moving this to game and mod issues then.
Do you any idea which mod/mods it was that broke the main menu?
- crinrict4 years agoHero+@deonte329 Probably some UI Mod. UI Cheat Extension ? TOOL ?
Turns out I had to delete all of the color slider files.
It caused the main menu to turn white.
i play sims 4 on my mac and i just recently updated my sims 4 game, when i opened the game back up again i turned on my mods like i usually would after an update then restarted the game so my mods would be on, when i opened the game back up again there were these random words covering where you would click “my home, packs, and kits” the words appear to be “ TITLETITLETITLE” then in the top of the screen in the middle there is a box the has a home icon then says “CTA” when i first saw this i thought i was probably just a glitch and it would fix itself! but, when i tried to click resume with the sim i left off on, nothing happened, this also happened when i tried to play a scenario, load a game, play a new game, open the gallery, and open options. i clicked on them all and nothing opened up. another issue is that when i tried to close the game with the little X in the top left corner again, nothing happened so i had to result to force quitting my game. i tried shutting down my computer, restarting my computer, repairing the game in origin, looking up this issue in google but it seems like no one else is having this problem. so now i have to take this problem here. i don’t think it is a problem with origin, i just think it’s a problem with the overall sims 4 game itself. i also attached photos of this problem.

It's not a Mac problem, it's not a game problem, it's a Mod problem. Update your Mods and your game will probably be ok again https://answers.ea.com/t5/Game-and-Mod-CC-Issues/FAQ-How-to-use-Mods-CC/m-p/8781409#M6399 I updated the game after the update. There was no problem when I opened the game. I enabled mods and cc's. Afterwards, there seemed to be no problem again, but after choosing the new game option and directing me to create a sim, I couldn't do anything. (When I clicked on the settings of the game, etc., nothing happened.) So I fixed the game and ran it again. There seemed to be no problem again, but when I activated the mods and cc's and re-run the game, the main menu was confused (as in the picture). Please help. It's urgent. (Sorry for my bad English, I'm not a native speaker.)

So you already figured out that the problem were outdated Mods/CC.
Move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game in a new save.
If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.
