Toddlers/adults can’t use toddler beds or small potties

I think I figured out the problem is that I was unaware there were 3 stages before child.

I am hoping it will sort itself out when the child ages into toddler.

I hadn't actually played long enough when I first bought the game and then decided I didn't like it compared to Sims3.

Hopefully it is just me being clueless!

I'll get back to you if it turns out there is still a problem when transitioning from infant to toddler.
