When you purchase the For Rent expansion you will get the new world that comes with it.
Then why do other unpurchased worlds show up? Is it because For rent is still really new?
You should have a greyed out icon for it.
If not. Move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game in a new save.
If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.
I tried that even with the mods folder moved to the desktop and the localthumbcache.package deleted in a new file the greyed out icon for Tomarang is still missing.
