Trait & modify relationship cheats not working

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.57
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Parenthood, seasons, get famous, city living
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? By typing in the cheat codes trait.equip_trait (whatever the exact trait cheat is) and the modify relationships cheat doesn’t work either.
What happens when the bug occurs? The cheat doesn’t work.
What do you expect to see? No trait added to my sims or any change in their relationships.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes

The cheats just don’t work anymore which is frustrating.
