Unable to download sims with custom content

I have been trying to put downloaded sims in my sims 4 game. I am at a loss right now I put the cc and preset and the sliders like it tell me and I put the tray folder inside the tray folder I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong but it isn't working for me can anyone help me with this issue. I’m not too tech savvy I want to get back to my game and enjoy it. Please help!
