Unable to place gallery lot

Hello,

My game has basically been unplayable since I unfortunately purchased For Rent and tried to place a residential rental property which corrupted one of my save files.  So I decided to start completely over.  I removed all saves.  I removed all CC files.  I removed all mods.  I repaired the game.  However, I am still not able to place a lot from the gallery.  It either causes the game to crash or just goes into a neverending loading screen.  It doesn't seem to matter if I try to place a lot from my library or the general gallery but I didn't see anything that directly relates to this issue.  Is anyone else having this problem?

Please.  Help.

    Hi.  Thanks for responding but I'm not trying to place a residential rental.  I've tried placing different lot types but nothing places.  It either crashes my game or I just get a perpetual loading screen.

    @vicariouslysimsI have the same problem, as well. I used to have infinite loading screen. Now, it just crashes. That since the For Rent pack. I cannot place, neither load lots. It seems to happen with big builds. I've also read in other answers that it might be caused by the build being too large, with many objects, multiple use of T.O.O.L and debug objects. Considering I am playing on a premade save file with detailed builds in every world, this For Rent pack bug does not help AT ALL.

    @crinrict I am not getting any error code, but my game crashes every save.  And it does not crash and load the desktop, it just sits there in limbo.  

    This has made the game unplayable.  Here is where I am rather frustrated.  

    I have been playing the sims since the 1st one over a decade ago.  I played sims 3 for years after the release of sims 4 due to the amount of issues that are present in the sims 4.  It is very clear to me that EA has no problem releasing an errored game that is unplayable.  I still cannot put my toddler in a high chair without the parents immediately taking them out and the child starving.  It has been several years since that release and EA does not care what so ever about fixing it. 

    They just care about money. 

    Since buying for rent my game has become unplayable and EA's customer service cannot refund it, why Colorado law says returns can happen within 60 days of purchase, but not with EA. 

    I have posted on here several times, and nothing happens.  I am at the point where I really hate EA and I want my money back for this for rent pack.  All it did was break my game.  EA is not working on a solution, just like all of the other errors they bring to the table.  I do not know what to do.  I just want my money back.  This is not ok.

    @becny I feel you on EA not meeting the consumers needs and allowing this to be a continued issue with no resolution.

    You’re not alone on your toddler/infant issue. I’ve had this happen to me with the high chair and the crib. It’s very frustrating.

    The game is clearly broken today though. We are having some errors. I am not sure what’s in the water. I haven’t had an issue building before and today it’s been lagging for me. My households are mess. Hopefully we get clarity or something soon. It can’t just be us having this issue.

    I have the same problem, actually it came after the last patch. Before i can do everything.

    When i tried to load a lot from the gallery, he is building and never stops. Sometime he builds it but the second one is loading for infinity.

    I tried a fresh install with clean maps and without mods. This doen't work either.

    So actually i cant build anything from the gallery.

    I hopa EA will fix this soon, because the interior designer & acteer career is also for almost 1 year not playable.

    @danikeijzers I share your frustrations.

    Unfortunately, I've came to the realizations that the more expansions, packs, kits etc .. comes more dysfunctional opportunities. Some of these might be due to the maximum data being processed in the game and others that EA has had to compromise with not being their material (mods/ccs). I can only imagine building a game along side accepting scripts of data that do not originate from the original game builders. While I do agree that it is a pain on the customers (myself included), I also do understand that the foundations hasn't or isn't exactly fireproof no matter how much or long they've produced it.
    With that being said, I am also awaiting for more updates and improvements.
