I have deleted games in the game, but have found them all in the saves folder. Is there something wrong with my game? Because, the saves shown in game are actually easier to discern than that jumbled mess of code I have a very hard time understanding in the game folder. Face/palm.
But, I totally get what you're saying. I kept Sims2 installed for several months even though I had installed Sims3. In my boredom, I went back to play Sims2. Then came across a glitch that went forever unfixed from the Mansions & Gardens stuff pack. Thanks to this glitch I lost all three children from my favorite game save. I got so angry, I did the unthinkable. I immediately uninstalled Sims2. Forgetting in that fit of rage, that I had made a couple of special purchases from the Sims Store. I, of course, never got that stuff back, either.
Some kind of stop-gap measure would be nice, I agree. Perhaps, a question should pop up, "Do you really want to delete this save?" or something that will jar you out of the rage long enough to think clearly? Surely I wished I hadn't lost the swings or the highchair that allowed the infant to play, or the play mat. It was less than smart on my part, but there you have it.
Oh, and the only way I can distinguish one save from another is by clicking on the save under Load Game. Up in the top is the save with the picture, just below is an icon of a folder. Hovering over that matches the save to the 'code' in the documents saves file. It's crazy.
