@mcrudd I hope @EA_Cade will confirm, but I think the main thing that rule is trying to prevent is confusion. Sometimes it may be hard to tell if a mod or CC comes from EA/Maxis/The Sims or from an independent content creator. For example, see the image in my spoiler tag. It uses the Sim's logo (or something that looks very similar to the Sims logo) to promote the CC so people who are not that familiar with the game may get confused about if it's a pack EA is selling or something else (especially because it says "Stuff Pack" and "Sims 4"). But EA had nothing to do with it.
