I highly, highly suggest joining her Discord. THAT is really the only way to see when it breaks. Her site is basically a second thought. Also, there you can report problems that help down the line to trouble shoot what's wrong as updates come out. Also, you'll find other players that are helpful with what to take out, what to keep in, etc. to allow a working game until she fixes it again.
In the end sometimes I just take it out, just depends how bad it's broken at any given time.
I understand the frustration though. I adore the overlay part of the mod especially, so I deal with the punches.
