when I modify my sim in CAS unable to save. need to cancel to go back to game

when i modify my sim in CAS unable to save.  need to cancel to go back to game.

i selected likes and dislikes and selected outfits clicked  on done arrow and it just brought up next household member.  had to cancel to go back to game.
