Why aren't my sims in saved households showing up in CAS?

I've had The Sims 4 for over a year now. Any time I've had an issue, it's usually been the result of needing to update my mods. However, I've recently deleted my mods folder, simply because I no longer wanted to maintain it, and the game has been running fine - perfect, even. Until today.

This is the first time in a couple of days since I've opened the game. I keep my computer clean from viruses with a Security Protection application. My laptop gets regularly updated. My files are backed up whenever I'm notified from previously stated application. As far as I'm concerned, this issue is not from my laptop.

My sims in saved households aren't showing up in Create A Sim. Usually, I edit my households with no problems. This time, I get a blank spot in Create A Sim when I try to edit my sims in my most-played saved household. Could someone help me with this issue? I'd hate to have to delete and re-create my households, and I don't want to lose any of my progress.
