Why can't I see icons normally?

Hello, yesterday I tried playing TS4 and they worked like normal except some icons were messed up. Today I wanted to make a new family and I noticed that there wasn't the slot for names, ages etc, and the trait slot only showed these stars. I havent clicked on the story mode thing (i think that's what it's called?) and I don't know why these stars are there

I removed a few mods and the UI cheats extension mod, and the icons are still messed up and the stars are still there no matter what I click

Is there any way to fix this? Thank you
