Why do people upload CC sims/houses on the gallery?

Now I'm not knocking anyone for using CC first of all. I'm an avid user of CC and I can't live without my folder of ccs! That said, I really don't understand why anyone uploads CC sims to the gallery....

Believe it or not out of everyone who plays the sims. There is going to quiet alot of people who have the same CC on thiers therefore if they download the sim the hair etc will still be there.
