Why do people upload CC sims/houses on the gallery?

Now I'm not knocking anyone for using CC first of all. I'm an avid user of CC and I can't live without my folder of ccs! That said, I really don't understand why anyone uploads CC sims to the gallery....

I download sims from the gallery for their facial features, so I don’t care if I get bold sim. It’s easy to choose new hair and clothing for me.
