why is my sims not going to grade school after i click to go to grade school

I am trying to send my child sims to school but after I click for him to go he doesn't move. Then a message pop up saying "he is currently in school should he skip" I say no then he just walks around...

This is happening to me too. I also can't interact with my Sim. I told her to go to the bathroom, get food, and shower. It said in her queue bar that she was going to do it but then  it would disappear right after. I don't want my Sim to get taken from me because I literally can't take care of her.
