Changing game language (PS5)

Hello!

My boyfriend and I live in the Netherlands and he downloaded The Sims 4 in the Netherlands. The game is available in Dutch.

I’d like to change the game language to Chinese because I’m learning the language. When I change the language of the PS5 to Chinese, the game starts up in English. I have tried this in Spanish too.

I have tried both changing the language and restarting the game, and changing the language and then redownloading the game. Both of these result in the game booting up in English.

I’ve seen online that only certain languages are available for copies downloaded in certain regions. I’m here to ask; is there a way around this? Can I download The Sims 4 in Chinese without losing my worlds in the Dutch version? What can I do?
