Debug items not appearing (PlayStation)

Here to report the following:

DEBUG objects and hidden objects are not appearing. I input the following into the console window (R1 + R2 + L1 + L2)

  • testingcheats true (works)
  • bb.moveobjects on (works)
  • bb.showhiddenobjects (does not work)
  • bb.showliveeditobjects (does not work)

Then, after searching “debug” in the search bar, nothing new appears. Going through the objects, nothing new appears. I’ve tried switching the order in which I enter commands, by swapping the order of hidden objects with live edit objects, but nothing changes.

  • Hi foresthag

For console, the debug menu works a little differently- once you've put the cheats in, head into build/buy mode, and next to the search bar you'll see a magnifying glass. Select that without inputting any text into the search bar, and all items, including the debug items should appear for you.

Hello, I play the Sims 4 on an Xbox and searching debug does not work. I've tried Debug, debug, "Debug", (Debug), and ((debug)). I have to type random words into the search bar to find things in the debug menue. Does anyone know how a console user can access debug?

Have you tried not entering anything in the search bar ? Just leave it empty and hit enter (or whatever the equivalent on console is for that) ?

There should also be a filter for Debug stuff.

MamaMae060  Just so you are aware, turning on testingcheats will disable your achievements for that save.

To show debug items in The Sims 4 on Xbox, follow these steps:

    1. Press the R2 button on your controller to open the cheat box.
    2. Type in the command testingcheats true and hit Enter.
    3. Type in bb.showhiddenobjects and hit Enter.
    4. Enter Build Mode and use the search bar to type debug.  Do not hit enter.
    5. Select the debug option to view all available debug items.

    Hope this helps.

It helped a little,  I can't click on the debug menus once it's up, but at least I can find it now. Thank you.
