Games freezing and glitching

While trying to play today my game kept freezing and glitching. At first it wasn't to bad it would freeze for a few seconds but as I played longer the freezing would last longer then the glitching started. First my Sim would just stand around when she would have tasks to do, then the tasks would be deleted or not accepted at all. Finally when I said I had enough she wouldn't do anything but stand there though apparently she was doing things as pop ups would still show up. Until that stopped too. This screenshot is what my screen looked like before I logged out.

This was the only game I had played today since I turned on the Console as well.

I'm playing on a Playstation 4. Both game and console are up to date.
