"Link Ea account" not working xbox series x

Hi I have been trying this for a long time but nothing seems to help. I cannot access the gallery or online features as when i go onto the sims 4 my Ea account is not linked. I attempt to link it through the settings menu 'Link Ea account' but once it says successful and prompts me to restart when I do I do not have access to online and It still says in settings for me to "link Ea account" It breifly worked when i unisntalled the sims without expansion packs however when i then installed them again it stopped working and now no matter what i do it wont work still. Please any help
