Multiple issues: event not showing up and expansion pack missing

I haven't played in a few days. Previously I had the issue where the event was saying I wasn't connected to the Internet so I couldn't get the rewards and progress in the event. Now, while the Home screen says the event was extended to 9/2, once my game loads, it's not there to keep working on. My game opened with an error saying some stuff wasn't recoverable and apparently that is the Get Famous pack.
