I'm taking a break again and playing Animal Crossing for a while instead after a PC player thankfully spotted that awful facial bug before I'd updated to the latest patch, and after seeing the post I decided not to update or play till it's fixed. I find the Switch a bit more comfortable to use and I've long wished the Sims franchise was on there too in some form. I hope it's a consideration for the future but I'm sure it's a complex issue for various reasons.
I've kept a track on the facial bug just to compare the strategies in dealing with this issue and that one. I've seen people well informed by the Team who responded immediately, I've seen posts replied to promptly and regular progress updates. It's a stark contrast to the past 3 months we've endured. My disability report got nothing, no replies, no reassurance. Not one disability complaint has had anything in response. The responsible parties have ignored this thread completely.
But... positive news. Digital Spy has reported our issue for the second time. I don't think I can post the link but it's a site I use every day and the article is on their first page. Other Sims 4/5 articles are there too if you search Sims it brings them up going back months. Here's a quote:
"Following a large backlash over control changes for PlayStation and Xbox, the team is looking into resolving the complaints and improving the console experience."
They first reported it in March and directly mentioned disabled players struggling, with a link to our thread here. So hopefully the PR will get results for us.
Edit: January to May and nothing has changed. I've switched to a new Xbox Series X and it's exactly the same.
