I have also had this issue a few times and resolved in the same way -my issue is that this happen 3 times in the space of 1hour. The 4th time -I attempted to save and repeat what I had done but found I was stuck on the save menu and the back button or circle button (which ever you choose to call it) refused to work at this point I had to close the whole application down. I have not bought on add on as yet and feel that the game has been ruined by the stupid way to choose actions - which by the way also never work.
My sim was unlucky enough to give birth to triplets and she basically refuses to follow my actions - the poor sim children are always starving because the mother just stands there cancelling my actions even when all her needs are met. Oh and the devil child you created where the sim baby did not sleep until it was a toddler..... Not sure if that was intended but seriously!
I dont want to or shouldn’t have to shut down the game because I can’t see the screen from menu boxes that freeze on my screen.
