@AbC6609a5743506  You can purchase expansions online in the PS Store and download them to your PS4, however they are stored on the console and not on the disc. You can not add data to a disc that you purchased. The disc will download and install to your playstation, the stuff you buy from PSN will download to the playstation, but nothing gets written to the disc your purchased. 

Please make sure, before you purchase anything from the PS Store (or any store) that you are purchasing them from the same region as your base Sims 4 game is from or they won't work.

    Would it work if I originally purchased Sims 4 on a disc for PS4 and then bought an expansion pack like seasons or something from the PS4 store? Or would they not be compatible?

    @TechDumby92      Hello!  Yes.  When you purchase packs or kits as Downloadable Content (DLC) from the PlayStation Store and install it, it is saved on your PS4, in the background so to speak.  Whenever you launch TS4, the DLC will load as well.
