Scheduling events deleted entire calender.
I play on the PS5, I have all the expansion packs, all the game packs, all the stuff packs, and about half of the kits (I'm working on getting them all), and I play with everything active, as I enjoy features or decor from all of the packs, so I understand that my game has a lot to think about. I accept the game slowly increasing lag when switching between characters, I'm even tolerant of the game canceling all queued actions for all characters whenever I switch to build mode, I get it, it's a lot for the console to keep track of. I save all the time, and occasionally quit to the main menu to reload my game to correct the lag issues. I'm used to it, I've been playing The Sims since the original game, the little issues are half of playing the game. I don't use cheats, I don't even like the bb.moveobject because it usually just makes Sims refuse to use objects or wander mindlessly.
However, today I was working on a formative moment for one of my characters, he needed to go to a getaway for 8 hours. First I tried to join a getaway already in progress, only to have my entire family ejected back to their home lot. That didn't annoy me over much, though I did notice that the time was wrong, it had been around 9pm at the getaway lot, but was 4am at the home lot. Then I noticed it was Wednesday, when it had been Friday. I assumed small glitch, no worries, figured I would just schedule the getaway in advance instead and opened my calendar, only to find it empty. No holidays, no events, no finchwick fairs or ravenwood family days, nothing. And with all the packs, I'm used to it being crowded. It was also the 4th day of summer, rather than the 26th day as it had been.
So I added in the major holidays, thought maybe I would just do without the constant calendar alerts, went to schedule a wedding for my engaged couple, since I had wanted them to have a summer wedding anyway, finished the schedule, returned to the calendar, and every holiday I just added are now on the wrong days, most of them have duplicates, also on the wrong days, it's now the 1st of summer instead of the 4th, and even the weekend wedding I had scheduled is now on a Wednesday. Now I'm staring at my main menu screen doing deep breathing exercises and wondering if I am going to have to load my family into a new world just to get the calendar back to normal, abandon the formative moment quest, and elope.
