The residence selection command does not appear

I started the Legacy Challenge, but I can't select the required vacant lot of more than 50x50 in any world. I can't even select a large house, and I can't see the details. I was prompted to restart...

I want the trophies, so I'll try the second method.

I don't know how to transfer trophies, so could you please explain the steps for the second method in detail?

Also, if I use testingteats on, will I no longer be able to earn trophies in new games after that?

As I understand it (I don't have a console), turning the cheats on is per save only. So if you want to earn them later on in a new save, you should be able to do so. It's just that save. 

I'm also not exactly sure how trophies work on console but I didn't mean to transfer the trophies. Just the Sim.

So bascially

  1. Place your Sim on a lot you can afford
  2. Use the cheat motherlode to give them more money (that really should not use testingcheats). You get 50k each time so you might need to do it multiple times.
  3. After that, click on the phone and choose to move lots, then move to the lot you choose.

    Thank you, I'm relieved.

    For some reason, the Motherlode wasn't applied either, but when I select another house and then try to move, plots of land larger than 50x50 now appear as options!

    I can now begin the Legacy Challenge.

    The initial problem has been resolved, but it seems strange that I can't even use cheats that don't require test cheats.

    Do you have any ideas why this might be happening?
