I've been pressing those commands and still not working

Control-shift-C *does* *not* bring up the cheat window. The only way to bring it up is to go into your Mac's system preferences, click "Keyboard" and then "Modifier Keys" and then select "control" from the pop-up menu beside the "command" key setting, then use shift-command-C in the game. I feel like I just wasted 30 minutes of my life downloading The Sims 4 onto my iMac.

Glad that worked for you but the default keys are, and always have been, CTRL, Shift and C. It may not have worked in your game because of various reasons unique to your setup.- 3 years ago
I wonder if any of the people insisting control-shift-C works have ever actually sat in front of a Mac and tried to play the game. My control key works in other contexts. My keyboard is set to US English. There is nothing wrong or unusual with my keyboard setup.

No need to wonder, I’ve played on several different Macs running OS X 10.8 and later since the game was released on macOS in 2015 and it has never been CMD, Shift and C, always CTRL, Shift and C.
Sometimes users report CTRL, Shift and C doesn’t work for them but after troubleshooting it has always been down to the individual setup, or a broken CTRL key, or the cursor being in the search field, or one of several other possible reasons. The game is set to recognise the CTRL key, not the CMD key.
