Access to my computer?

This is new. When I start the Sims 4, I receive this message: This grants the 'EA app' access to your data, files, and settings on this Mac, as well as permission to modify them.

This worries me. Why on earth should I give EA access to my data, files and settings on my Mac and permission tot modify them? I clicked on 'Do not allow' so no the game doesn't start - it gives an error message. If this continues I'll stop playing the Sims completely despite all the money I have spent on it. I'm not giving EA full access to my computer.
