Hi, I literally made this account to respond to your issue. I had the same issue after updating last night.
What happened was, the update pushed all of the Electronic Arts folders into your iCloud.
What you need to do is access your iCloud folder, select the Electronic Arts folder that contains your saves, and move it onto your device.
We moved my correct folder (it also for some reason created two additional Electronic Arts folders WITHOUT saves) onto an external hard drive and removed the other Electronic Art folders so the CORRECT ONE WITH SAVES was the only one remaining.
Now all my games are back.
Hope this helps!

system preferences> iCloud > uncheck "optimize Mac storage"
system settings> click on your name/avatar> iCloud> apps syncing to iCloud drive "options"> uncheck Desktop and Documents Folder
How to access iCloud Folder: Finder> iCloud Drive > Documents (mine was in documents, yours may just be in the drive if yours is slightly different)
You can also try searching using the search bar in the top right corner of Finder and choose search in "iCloud Drive"

The link I provided above your post is stickied on the first page of this Mac forum for easy finding for this really common issue.- 3 years ago@Bluebellflora I was just giving a little more succinct clarification. The link is wordy and having literally done the fix myself in real time of posting my response, I found it could be a little easier than following a link and deciphering an entire page of text.

The great aspect of master stickied threads is the tips others introduce into the conversation and the ongoing back and forth which can be immensely helpful when others aren’t as tech minded. Master stickied threads typically have precise opening posts and are updated with new relevant info. This thread will probably be merged into the master at some point but for now there is still the possibility that the OP may be experiencing a different issue.
