Autosave or recover from build mode?

Is there really no autosave or recover option in Sims 4? I lost 2 hours of building a house because the game crashed, and placing the garden was such a chore that I'll probably just give up the project if I have to do it again. The last save game available to load is from yesterday.

@Draumkvad Unfortunately, there is no way to recover lost progress from Build Mode. It sucks, I know. I still want to retrieve the house I lost from when my cat got on the computer and turned it off.

Do you have any backups of your Mac? Do you use Time Machine? If so, did it happen to backup while you were playing? Long shot but worth checking 🙂
