Build mode: An empty basement level is visually buggy

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Mac
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.58.63.1210
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Everything EXCEPT for Toddler Stuff, Moschino, StrangerVille, Island Living and Discover University.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go into build mode and click to view basement level in any household/lot that has an empty basement level (no rooms).
What happens when the bug occurs? The lot goes white and gray. See attached picture.
What do you expect to see? The normal, empty basement level.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. As far as.I know, the latest Sims 4 update triggered it.

I'm sorry for the poor description of the issue; attached the (potato-quality) picture to help. Reproduced on two different save files and with two different lots, with and without MCCC (mods turned off in settings and game restarted). Placing down a room fixes the issue, so not game-breaking, just off-putting.

  • @Zipanu  I've moved your post to the Mac section for now, since it's not clear whether this is a game bug or a Mac-specific issue.  Thanks for your specs, by the way; the info is always helpful.

Could you post the graphics settings you're using?  You can just take a screenshot of the page where you select settings.  I want to see whether I can reproduce this in Windows, and maybe macOS if I can get my game running at some point.
