Cannot launch Sims4 on Macbook - Game is

Could someone please help me. I tried to contact the help desk, but I only get the notification that the channels are currently unavailable.

I bought Sims4 3 days ago and tried to launch it in Origin. This never worked, so I tried to contact the help desk. They suggested to repair the game in Origin, but then my battery died and the convo just ended. The game just gives this error:

I've also tried downloading Origin again. This also didn't help.

I have a Macbook High Sierra (V10.13.6) already - I read somewhere that updating your system to High Sierra would help, but I already got that.

When I open contents of Origin in My Applications, I cannot find Sims4 anywhere there. Sims4 is also not within My Application, but I can see it on my Launchpad.
