Can't Detail Edit Sims in Create a Sim - Sims 4

I recently uninstalled Origin to update my computer's operating system. Right now, it should still be completely compatible with the game, it's macOS Monterey 12.0.1. When I downloaded Origin again, I opened the Sims 4 as usual and went to create a new save file. I was unable to detail edit the face or body. For whatever reason, the only detail edit I can make in CAS is moving their chest up and down. I can't move anything in and out.

I have tried the following:

-Repairing the game.

-Using an existing save.

-Delete the local thumbnail file and emptying my tray.

-I have deleted all of my mods.

-I have tried going into live mode in an existing save, then using the cas.fulleditmode cheat.

-I have uninstalled the game and installed it.

Is this a bug with the game right now, or is there something I'm missing?

I just tried this. It worked exactly once to fix the issue. But as soon as I chose another body part in CAS, it stopped working again. It's pretty frustrating how hard this has been to solve!

Ok. What exactly is happening? Can you not grab body parts to edit? Is the cursor not clicking where you expect it to? Did it start happening after upgrading your Mac to Monterey?

So I can't grab body parts to edit outside of moving the chest up and down. I can't detail edit the face, any of the limbs, their stomachs etc. Anything that requires the back and forth movement, just no longer works. I can click and grab, but nothing happens when I edit.

I believe it happened after I upgraded to Monterey, so I'm wondering if it's a bug with the OS and if anyone else is having this issue. I have tried with my mouse and trackpad to even see if that was the issue. No change.

Very similar, but I'm not having the camera issues.

For information on my computer specifically:

    2017 MacBook Pro 13"

    macOS Monterey 12.0.1

    3.1 GHZ Dual-Core Intel Core i5

    8 GB memory

Intel Iris Plus Graphics 650 1536 MB

My game is playable outside of the strange behaviour in CAS.

Thanks 🙂 I wonder if it is only Monterey related? Seems like it. Thanks for reporting. EA do look in these forums, hopefully it's on the list.....

Seems like it must be right? I will wait patiently for the next update I guess!
