Can't freely rotate objects- MAC

Hi there, I have been trying to freely rotate objects in the game for some time now and nothing seems to work. I have a macbook pro and have put moveobjects on, used the sims 3 camera and used the option key ( which I believe is the alt key on mac) and the <> keys. Not sure what to do!

    No, hold down the Alt key then click and drag on the trackpad and it should spin freely. Let go when you have it at the angle you desire.

    what exactly is the alt key for MacBook Pro? I have the keys: option, control, shift, Fn, and command. I have specifically a MacBook Pro 2019 BigSur w the latest version

    OMG, thank you soooo much. I didn’t have it in the sims 3 camera setting. your a lifesaver!

    It only worked for me when I was in sims 3 camera mode during build mode, I know it’s late but I hope it helps for somebody else!
