Can't install the game! (setLocale.zsh error)

Same thing happened to me today.

Since yesterday I was having major issues running The Sims 4.

Today, via chat, EA support told me to upgrade my mac to macOS Catalina (I was on Yosemite before), to uninstall The Sims 4 and uninstall origin and to reinstall origin and The Sims 4 all over again.

My installation can't even be complete with success. Midway installation, the following message appears on the screen (maybe after about 10 to 15 minutes of progress):

Error: A redistributable package (setLocale.zsh) was not installed successfully. Setup cannot continue.

How can it be EA/Origin, how? I'm so tired of your constant need to do updates...

The game was running just fine and bam! Another problem, another whole month (maybe forever?) without true support.

We need help and we are simply left hanging...

My original game plus packs took about 25GB of storage. Now, all I see is a softed colored The Sims 4 icon with a forbidden symbol on my "Applications" folder taking about only 17GB of space.

Something is missing, but what? Everytime I try to complete the installation, the same error occurs and the same message appears on my screen.

We are in this together folks. Let's make this ride as short as possible.

Curious. 

I was incapable of opening the game through Origin. I then searched for Sims (Not shown within Applications but comes up when I search the whole computer) -> double clicked -> Origin reopened -> got same Error Message -> the Download Manager did its "Finalizing" thing, yet this time once It completed, I had the option to click a play button instead of Download. 

I'm able to play the game, however, even though I've moved Sims4 program from "My Computer" to Applications, the icon still does not show there. Have to search for it every time I want to run it. 

That is really strange. I found the sims in "the whole computer", it was with a forbidden sign. I tried to double clicked it and it suddenly became the sims4 icon. Then the Origin opened automatically. This time the same message showed up but the button also became "play". So I clicked it and the game opened...There is no sims4 icon in the Applications, too. And changing the game property -> language in Origin couldn't change the game's language. 

Same error here, I can't play it in spanish. If I install the english version, the same error appears but I can play, if I switch to spanish, the game is in blank, no texts. I'm using Mojave and my mac is a 4k early 2015 with 16Gb RAM and i7.

Hi,
I also have this problem. I first have the problem [135dec40: 90f690cf: 00000075: 495f32a0], I change the languages and view two folder elecrotic arts I put my saves in the good and deleted bad. The games re worked and so I put back in French and then I got the message .. So I uninstall everything, reset then re install Origin and the Sims 4, but it's super strange because I no longer have the games icon, I have a folder called "The Sims 4 Packs". The Electronic art folder has a folder called " EA service" and when I look for the Sims 4 folder I have lots of original documents with a .pkg and .msft .. But on Origin if I click on play on the Sims 4 icon the game starts normally in english.

I'm soooo lost..

I have my Sims 4 in a external hard drive

I still have my saves file, where can I put it in all this?
