CC+Mods how much RAM/CPU M1 Pro

Hi there, 

I have a quick question that I can't find the answer to elsewhere. 

I'm going to buy a new Mac Book 14" with 1TB and 16GB RAM.

M1 Pro 10‑Core CPU/ 16‑Core GPU 
16 GB RAM
1 TB SSD 

I want to play the Sims on it. Now, I do have a lot of CC and Mods. (30GB and getting more)

Does the RAM affect the game or rather the CPU when it comes to playing the game smoothly. 

So should I go for 32 GB RAM or buy a better CPU or would the game run smoothly with a lot of Mods and CC without more RAM and CPU? 

Or does it make no difference at all? 

(I read that because the game is loading only lots while gaming, 32GB RAM would not be necessary. Not sure if that is true?)
