Cheat bar not opening

HELP! I've been playing Sims 4 for a while now, and cannot figure out why I can't open the cheats bar.

I play on an iMac (macOS High Sierra).

Every time I use Control-Shift-C to open the cheat bar, it doesn't do anything, or takes a screenshot. I have been searching for ages to find an answer, and I've tried many solutions but none have worked. I have also tried 1-2-3-0 (which google suggested me to do) and the didn't work either.

I have the Digital Deluxe version of the game if that helps (Im not sure if that may effect it).

I really need some advice, my friend also plays Sims 4 on a Mac (MacBook) and her cheats bar opens fine.

You have a screen capture program running that uses this key combination. Change it to use another combination or end it before playing the Sims 4.

It could be for a few different reasons:

    • Check your default modifier keys in System Preferences > Keyboard > Modifier Keys.
    • Check the Input Source in System Preferences > Keyboard maybe it has been changed to a different language. You could also try adding another language to see if this resolves the issue.
    • Check you don't have a 3rd party app installed that may have overriden the default behaviour of the CTRL key.
    • Try repairing your game in Origin a couple of times.
