So I bought myself a new Sims 4 expansion and decided to play the game again however when I went into Origin and tried to update my Sims 4, this error kept coming up (see attached screenshot). I thought that maybe the game was broken so attempted to repair it but the same error continued to come up. As I was at my boyfriends house, I thought maybe it was the internet so just left it until I was back home however when I got home it kept happening. I have tried everything! I've uninstalled Origin twice, updated my computer, cleared the cache folder thing and I even uninstalled Sims 4 but now I can even reinstall it cos this bloody error keeps coming up!! Somebody please help, I don't know how to fix it. I just spent bloody $50 on an expansion and I can't even play the game. Does anyone know how I can fix this?!?!
PLEASE AND THANK YOU
BTW I use a Macbook
To start with, try to run Origin as admin. Make sure origin is completely closed then right click the Origin icon and an option to run Origin as administrator will be there. If that doesn't work, try adding origin to your firewall exceptions. If you still have no luck then check out "this". It will be able to help you further.
