So I bought Sims 4 (CD version) originally for my PC and it worked because i had a disc drive however i recently bought a MacBook Pro 13" With retina display which doesn't have a disc drive i was wondering (instead of buying the game again, for another £50) i could just convert it to an online version?

Community Admin@emily1995see Hey, there's no need to do anything of the sort, the disc is just a data storage medium and your account is where the game ownership lies.
Just log into the Origin client using the same account you used previously, then you should be able to click on the game panel and start the download.

Go to https://www.origin.com/gbr/en-us/store/download and download and install the latest version of Origin. If you have not already registered the product code, log in to Origin with your EA account details, then redeem your code. If you have already registered your code then make sure you log in using the account details you used when registering. The game should then show up in your Games Library within Origin.
