[CURRENT ISSUE] Freezing, possible system lockup on Macs with AMD Vega GPUs

Hey Bluebellflora,

Came across this thread after looking into some problems I was having with my iMac Pro 27".

Currently experiencing: Various amounts of gameplay at ultra high settings... Anywhere from 1 minute to several hours. However, it quickly freezes once I am in build mode. Remains frozen for several minutes and will either stay frozen or shut down my iMac.

iMac Pro (2017 Design, purchased in 2020)
Processor: 3.2 GHz 8-Core Intel Xeon W
Memory: 32 GB 2666 MHz DDR4
Startup Disk: Macintosh HD
Graphics: Radeon Pro Vega 56 8 GB

• Are you attempting to play the normal version of the game or the Legacy Edition? I believe, the regular version. I don't see anything labeled Legacy in Origin.
• Are you running any antivirus? I used Adblock Plus on Google Chrome but that is it.
• Have you tried to repair the game in Origin? After removing my mods folder, I tried to run the game and it still froze. I then uninstalled the game, saved my mods, tray, and saves files elsewhere and redownloaded the game without these files and it still crashed. I then tried to repair the game in Origin, and it still crashed.
• Do you use CC/Mods? If so, have you tried removing them and seeing if that fixes your problem? I did attempt to remove my mods and it still crashed.
