This issue now seems to be fixed in the 1.68.154.1220 November 2020 patch.

Thanks all for confirming it now seems to be fixed. If you start experiencing issues again please post 🙂

Thank you 🙂 I've moved your post into this thread as you have a Vega GPU which are suffering from even more severe crashing issues than the Radeon 5300. These seem to have started since the September patch, does this seem about the right time frame for you?

I have Radeon Pro Vega 20 and basically haven’t been to play since September update! Now i just get a red screen almost immediately after loading households. Ive tried everything even using this https://gfx.io/ which is the only thing making it playable until it ultimately crashes again after awhile.
