Electronic Arts folder vanished but game still says folder is there?

I recently downloaded some CC and wanted to put it in the my Sims 4 Mods folder, but when I went to documents, my Electronic Arts folder was nowhere to be found. I used Finder, but still got nothing....

    @Bluebellflora 

    So, I haven't gotten my computer fixed of all its issues yet, but I did manage to fix this.

    I uninstalled Sims 4, reinstalled it, and then used the command to show hidden files. After all that, I was finally able to find this folder again.

This:

/Users/typhonisking/Desktop/The Sims 4 Packs
/Users/typhonisking/Desktop/The Sims 4.app
/Users/typhonisking/Desktop/The Sims 4.app/Contents/Resources/The Sims 4.app

Do you have two installations of the game somehow? You have it installed in your Applications folder and also on the Desktop, or is that a shortcut? The installation path of the game that is loading will be in Origin.

The install here:

/Users/typhonisking/Applications/The Sims 4.app
/Users/typhonisking/Applications/The Sims 4.app/Contents/Resources/The Sims 4.app

doesn't include your DLC. EPs/GPs/SPs are all installed in the Sims 4 Packs folder in the same install location as the game app.

This:

/Users/typhonisking/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4

is where your Electronic Arts folder is. When you look in your Documents folder is it not there? 

I was wondering whether you had a folder in iCloud but you don't.

    @Bluebellflora 

    I thought it was just the desktop shortcut, but when I search for the "Electronic Arts" folder in documents, there is 2 identical "Sims 4" icons that pop up. So, I have no idea what's going on there. And the folder titled "Electronic Arts" is not there. I've searched the entire documents folder and it doesn't appear to be anywhere.

    Maybe for some inexplicable reason it is hidden? Open the Documents folder then hold down CMD, Shift and Period/full stop. This will show the hidden folders.

    I tried that, but the folder still didn't show up. It revealed other hidden stuff, but the folder was not among those things.

    @Typhonis707 

    Hmm, this is so weird. Terminal is showing it's there. If you navigate to it through your your home account icon does that show it up?

    Tried that and it's still not showing up. I don't understand why it's not appearing

    Me neither, it's really odd. How about if you set up a new user account on your Mac. Does the Electronic Arts folder appear when you launch the game in that account?

    Sorry it's a late reply, but it seems as though I can't create a new user on this Mac. I've had a lot of issues with this laptop not doing things it should be able to do. Think I'm gonna have to take it to the store and see if I can't get someone to fix it. When I do, I'll reply to this thread again to let you know if that fixed the problem. Thanks again for trying so hard to help

    It was in Documents, but it wouldn't show up until I uninstalled, reinstalled, and then showed hidden folders. I don't know why or how it got hidden or why it wouldn't show up until I reinstalled the game (and then unhide hidden folders) though
