Error- Unable to start due to missing game data.

Hello

I have downloaded the legacy edition and deleted it and re-downloaded it multiple times but no matter what I do, I keep getting the same error message. Can you please assist? The error message is below:

Unable to start:

Unable to start due to missing game data. Please download The Sims 4 Legacy Edition from Origin.

@jorienxh Your Mac doesn't support Metal2, although your software does. Your graphics driver doesn't and that's why you need the Legacy Edition.
I think everybody gets this download, if they need it or not.

@SJDower @bassbunny5 @toby54321 @lhbroderick Your Macs are 2012 or newer, try to upgrade your MacOS to Mojave or Catalina. I've seen that solves it quite a few times.

i dont have the option of downloading that. what do i do?

getting the same thing but says i need get to work but it's already installed and my sims have no hair or half naked and when i try to play it takes me into recovery saves and gives me an error message

Please start a new thread describing in more detail your issue, which exact Mac you have and a screenshot of the error message.
