Expansion items are not visible in the game (red cross)

I have been trying to solve this problem for the past few days but I just can't seem to find what's wrong.

I used to have Sims 4 including Origin installed on my Macbook about a year ago and everything was working fine then. (I had to delete it because of low storage but now I want to play again). The base game seems to work well but all of the expansion items don't show up in the game. There are red crosses and question marks on the items. Also I can't access San Myshuno and Forgotten Hollow even though both expansions/game packs are installed correctly.

I've deleted and reinstalled the game and Origin multiple times now. But it still doesn't work. I've tried repairing the game in Origin and deleting the cache in the Sims folder, too. But nothing seems to help. I don't use any mods or custom content. I just want the expansions to work ☹️

Here's all of the add-ons/expansion packs that I have installed: Holiday Celebration Pack, Cats & Dogs, City Living, University, Get Famous, Get to work, Get together, 4 Seasons, Parenthood, Vampires, Backyard Stuff, Bowling Night Stuff, Fitness Stuff, Kids Room Stuff, Perfect Patio Stuff and Vintage Glamour Stuff.

Can anyone help?

The game and Sims 4 Packs folder should be in your Applications folder. Only the Sims 4 folder containing your saves etc. should be in the Electronic Arts folder, together with any other EA game folders you have. In Origin go to Application Settings > Installs & Saves, what is the game library location?

Which patch level are you at? Please open the GameVersion.txt file in your Sims 4 folder to see.

Do you have a Sims 4 Packs folder in the same location your game is installed to? This is normally your User > Applications folder.

Have you ever downloaded the game from anywhere other than origin?

The game version is: 1.63.136.1210
My game is installed in a folder called Electronic Arts and in there I have the application and two folders named "The Sims 4" and "The Sims 4 packs".
No, I have only ever downloaded the game from origin..

Thank you so much! That actually worked! For some reason Origin installed all of the game folders in "Documents" so I just had to move them to "Applications". Thank you!!
