Which model is the Mac running Monterey? This Force Quit issue is only apparent on Intel Macs judging by the specs everyone is posting here. I've seen reports of it also happening on Intel Macs running Monterey. Are your Macs Intel or Apple Silicon?

@Bluebellflora I have both an intel and a M1. As you mentioned only intel one has this issue after upgrading to Ventura. My M1 has no "force quit" issue after the ventura upgrade.

Yeah, my M1 MBA is fine too. The Intel machines are running Catalina and Monterey but I’m sure if I upgraded to Ventura I would experience the Force Quit issue. I will test on the Monterey machine again though.- 3 years ago
Does this mean we’ll be unable to play until there’s either an update or a fix for intel Macs running Ventura?

Of course you can play because you can still play the game and save, you just have to Force Quit to close the game rather than Quit (so don't save & quit!). There is the possibility it could corrupt your game install but a simple repair in Origin should fix that.
