Game broken after 2023 ceilings update

i just updated my game and have the new ceiling option and now the wall swatches wont show up properly on any builds. the house im currently building is brick yet looks like the shipping container swatch or paneling with lines through it and the colors all wrong no matter which swatch i use. i turned off my mods to see if that was the cause but the walls are still all wrong without them enabled. i also can't see if its working normally during game play because my game will not load to play anymore only build mode will load properly. is this because of the new update? my game was working before this with several mods.
