Game crashes on Mac when Sim is traveling to or from Britechester

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Every. Single. One.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play Discover University in either university with a single Sim. When the Sims travels to or from anywhere, about half the time the bug occurs.
What happens when the bug occurs? The game disappears (crashes) with no error code. Occasionally I get a hung loading screen but not as often as the crash. i always repair the game before reloading it.
What do you expect to see? My Sim should be able to travel wherever they want, be it to a beach in Sulani or to class! How rude.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure
i have both a Mac and a Windows computer. I've tested extensively but this does not occur on my Windows machine, just the Mac (which is my primary computer, being the better of the two). I had both script and item mods but have removed everything and the crash is still happening. i've also uninstalled and reinstalled the game through the EA app.
