game crashes on startup [m1 mac]

hello, i'm writing here because i've tried every other option. my game worked perfectly fine until a couple of hours ago, but now everytime the sims 4 loads after the startup screen it crashes. i ha...

    Please update Monterey via System Preferences. Current version is 12.6.1. If your game is still crashing after updating please move the entire Sims 4 folder to the desktop, repair the game in Origin, then try to launch it.

    thanks for your help, it worked!

    but unfortunately my game has crashed again. my game was working fine with all my backed up files until i exited and tried to fix some things in sims4studio. my game won't open again even after removing my original folders, uninstalling the sims & origin, and reinstalling both programs.

      Move the whole Sims 4 folder to the desktop again, repair, then try to load the game.
