Game crashes when trying to remove a fence

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Mac
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.104.58.1230
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Get to Work, Get Together, City Living, Cats & Dogs, Seasons, Get Famous, Island Living, Discover University, Eco Lifestyle, Cottage Living, Outdoor Retreat, Dine Out, Parenthood, Jungle Adventure, Realm of Magic, Perfect Patio, Cool Kitchen, Spooky, Romantic Garden, Laundry Day, My First Pet, Desert Luxe
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I have a large room that otherwise consists of only square shapes, but with one end being a half-circle, which is separated from the rest of the room with a fence (Fence for Window Shopping from GTW EP). The bug occurs when trying to remove any part of this fence, the fence as a whole, moving the fence elsewhere, replacing it with a wall or half-wall which I then sledgehammer or by tracing it with the wall tool while holding down Ctrl.
What happens when the bug occurs? The game crashes immediately
What do you expect to see? Being able to remove the fence and connect the half-circle room with the rest of the room.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. The day before this issue began, my game was extremely bugged when in build mode. The sledgehammer tool didn't work at all, picking things up only worked some of the time and when it did, I could not put anything down again at all. Hitting esc would work about half of the time. Picking things up to sell them would then make the game not recognise that I was holding anything, but the item would still be attached to my mouse (just to mention a few of the bugs). I proceeded to use the "repair" function in Origin, which took a lot longer than usual, but when opening my game afterwards seemed successful - until I discovered this issue.

I'm really not sure what to add here since I can't screen-record a crash with the in-game tool.
